Recruiting A

Graduate Assistant

Oriel Partners have a broad network of entry-level candidates; Graduates, Office Assistants, Junior Personal Assistants and Team Administrators. Often, hiring a first jobber can be a daunting process as there is limited previous employment experience to benchmark on. Therefore, partnering with the right agency is essential to guide you through the recruitment process and ensure you are meeting the best talent available on the market.

We are very fortunate to have close ties with relevant business schools and secretarial courses, which produce candidates with the relevant PA and administrative skills, allowing us to have quick access to these highly trained candidates who are very focused on an office support role. The time of year can influence the number of Graduates and Office Assistants available on the market, so utilising a specialist agency can ensure you are accessing the best selection of talent available.

Graduate Recruitment

As part of the search for a Junior PA or Graduate candidate, your consultant at Oriel Partners will set up all of the interview stages, take feedback and communicate this to both parties, liaise with regards salary negotiations and generally ensure the process is as smooth as possible. This is particularly important with a junior candidate who will most likely not have been in this process before and will need additional support and guidance. Your consultant should continue to remain a good point of contact for both client and candidate as the probation period progresses to ensure a smooth settling in period. Having a dedicated representative who can manage this process on your behalf, will help ensure you end up with the candidate you want and the process is managed as easily and as quickly as possible.

Job hunting can be a very daunting process, particularly for junior candidates at the start of their career. We are fully aware of this and aim to guide and support them through the process. We never push our candidates and spend a long time getting to know them and understanding their ambitions to ensure we can place them in the right role long term.

Typical Office Administrator duties will include: Assisting with daily administrative tasks, diary and inbox management, scheduling meetings and setting up meeting rooms. Managing correspondence and assisting with travel booking. Meeting and greeting all clients and visitors to the building, being the first point of contact and answering the phones. Updating databases, basic expense management, managing all incoming and outgoing mail. Monitoring and maintaining stationery stock levels, supporting and covering reception when required. Assisting with events, editing PowerPoint presentations. Providing support for the Office Manager and other PAs in the team, filing and scanning.
